Gentle Pilates (Basic Principles)

This 60-minute group session focuses on isolating correct muscles and perfecting movements in a slower paced format.  Focus is on developing an understanding of Stott Pilates' basic principles:  breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, shoulder stabilization and cervical (neck) alignment.  Ideal for those new to pilates.

Foundations (Basic Principles)

This 60-minute group session will introduce you to Stott Pilates' basic principles:  breathing, pelvic placement, rib cage placement, shoulder stabilization and cervical (neck) alignment.  Your understanding and internalization of these basic principles are essential to developing core stability and performing pilates exercises throughout all levels of pilates programming.  Read More.

Essential Level Pilates (Building Core Stability)

This essential level pilates programming focuses on exercises that develop your core strength and stabilization, improve your posture and overall body awareness and incorporate your knowledge of the basic principles of pilates.  This program will address your individual strengths and weaknesses incorporating modifications and props based on your needs.  Level I is recommended for clients who do not have prior pilates experience.

Pilates for Athletes (The Power Workout)

This series will take you through essential pilates exercises at the level of a power workout.  The power workout will challenge your cardio by including higher reps at a faster pace.  Props such as the fitness circle, flex band, toning balls, and foam rollers, are used to increase the challenge of essential exercises.  Level I is recommended for new clients.

Circuit Pilates (All Over Body w/ Specialized Pilates Equipment)

Circuit Pilates challenges and builds core strength and includes programming that focuses on building upper and lower body strength and tone and builds up to the pace of a cardio workout using specialized Stott pilates equipment including the Stott Professional Reformer, Jumpboard, Stability Chair, Arc Barrel, and BOSU.  Circuit Pilates includes 5, 60-minute group sessions (groups limited to 3 people) and a 60-minute private consultation that will include an equipment orientation, a postural analysis, and programming and modificiations based on your posture and fitness goals.  This program is recommended for clients experienced in pilates.  Read More.

Yogalates ("Gentle Yoga and Pilates")

This is a gentle yogalates class designed for all levels of yoga & pilates clients.  Classes will include a variety of classic yoga postures, breathing techniques, balance and stretching postures and pilates exercise that improve tone, restore balance and improve posture.

Restorative Yoga ("Relax and Renew")

This Restorative Iyengar yoga class is suitable for all levels of fitness and body awareness.  Focused on promoting both health and spiritual growth, the class is structured on guiding students through a series of supported asanas (poses) and breathing techniques aimed at assisting them in graduating towards enhanced body and breathing awareness and deep relaxation.  This class will help each student handle the stress and challenges of day-to-day life with balance and grace.  As you bring peace to the mind and replenish the body you will soon realise the health benefits derived from restorative practice including immune system strengthening, hormonal balance, digestive aid, and improved circulation and respiration.

Walking/Stroller Pilates

This outside program introduces you to elements of a proper gait, and is 60 minutes of power walking to burn calories, exercises specific to building up important walking muscles, and pilates standing stations focusing on core strength and training. 

Yoga Fusion

Suitable for clients with any level of Yoga experience, this class incorporates a variety of styles of Yoga and is designed to enhance body awareness and help create a general sense of well-being. Clients will notice improved flexibility, strength, balance, focus and concentration as the session progresses.  Each week we will explore new breath techniques along with traditional Yoga postures, Vinyasa Yoga (flow sequences), Yin Yoga (a gentle, restorative Yoga) and various relaxation techniques.  Enjoy Yoga in a warm and casual setting and most of all, have fun!

Pilates/Yogalates for Kids

This 45 minute class ideal for kids aged 6 - 9 years will give your child the opportunity to stretch and strengthen in a fun, musical setting.  Using interactive imagery this class will help children to improve their posture, improve concentration, and develop better posture. 

Pilates Fusion ("Pilates and Yoga Fusion")

This class incorporates pilates exercises and yoga postures to develop strength, flexibility and balance.  This class is designed for all levels of yoga & pilates clients who are keen to challenge themselves to higher levels of endurance.  Classes will include key pilates exercises focused on core strength, yoga postures focused on overall body strength and endurance and yoga and ballet programming to improve flexibility and balance.  Overall programming aims to improve muscle tone and strength and improve balance, flexibility and posture.

Pre-Natal Pilates

This prenatal pilates class will focus on abdominal awareness and strength, engaging the pelvic floor and transverse abdominus, incorporate exercises to improve back strength, and yoga poses to reduce discomfort while working in a safe range of motion.  Specialized pilates equipment ideal for pregnancy, including the stability chair, arc barrel, stability ball and professional reformer, are used to accommodate the pregnant client in safe and supported positions.  This program will help you maintain strength and body awareness throughout your pregnancy that can improve your post-natal fitness.    Prior pilates and yoga experience is recommended, and a consult with your doctor is required prior to beginning this programRead More.

Intermediate Pilates (Challenging Core Stability)

Building on exercises you performed at the essential level and building on the core stability you have developed, you will now progress to increasingly challenge your core by working in a strong neutral position and incorporating coordinated movements of the arms and legs.  Modifications and props are incorporated to increase the challenge of specific exercises.

Pilates for Golfers (Building & Rebalancing)

A series of pilates exercises are specific to enhancing your golf swing and to reestablishing core balance and strength. Private Instruction

One-on-one instruction or one-on-two instruction will allow for individualized programming around specific postures, specific muscle strengths and weaknesses, and modifications to provide maximum challenge. Programming utilizing the reformer, stability chair, arc barrel, and stability ball is available.
