Monica Cummins Registered Yoga Teacher, Certified Pilates Instructor, Level 1/11 Reconnective Healing Practitioner Monica was introduced to yoga in the late 90’s, and was amazed by its endless healing power. Not only did she find it an incredible way to deal with stress, but the only way to cope with the many injuries she had obtained from board sports over the years.
Teaching and attending yoga classes led her to begin taking some pilates classes. Finding it a nice compliment to yoga, she decided she would like to teach that as well and completed her pilates certification. Firmly believing in being well rounded and balanced, Monica likes to develop her classes as such - also injecting them with some humour to keep things light. |
Maryann Crabtree Pilates Instructor, Mat Certified, Body Harmonics Maryann developed an interest in pilates following the birth of her daughter Molly in 1996. "It all started with morning sessions on a reformer in the basement - the results were immediately evident." After many years of taking pilates classes throughout the GTA she decided to follow her passion and pursue a career in teaching.
She completed her training and certification in matwork at Body Harmonics in 2007. Maryann is committed to sharing her enthusiasm for Pilates mind -body'
exercise with her students. Through her love of pilates, Maryann has come to believe that "flexibility is synonymous with health" and in the words of Joseph Pilates "physical fitness is the first requisite to happiness." |
